Unproductive in the workplace? Try doing you’re own thing!

If you find that you tend to waste quite a bit of time during your work day catching up on the latest celebrity gossip, or randomly surfing the internet, maybe corporate life just isn’t for you.

There is a growing percentage of American’s that have frequently felt bored and underpaid at their place of employment, causing them to waste close to 20% of their workdays. An online study found that six in every ten workers have admitted to wasting time at work that amounts to 1.7 hours of a typical 8.5 hour work day.

So the question is, why bother working for a company when you are this bored? Sure the perks and benefits might not get beat if you work for yourself and start your own venture, but only time will tell, and they usually amount to much higher rewards. The slaking rates have gone down about 30 minutes since the survey was initiated in 2005, but nonetheless, if you’re that bored, may we suggest to start strategizing an exit plan that has to do with starting your own business.
